Ugh, I am so good at setting lofty goals that I don't meet and then I feel like I've somehow failed. It's the Enneagram 1 in me, needing to be perfect in fulfilling that ridiculous checklist. But I tend to agree, goals can be, for lack of a better word, dumb.

I think as I approach 40 I just care less and less about trying to "be" anything and instead just want to enjoy life. So my goals largely surround lifestyle and staying healthy, in body, mind and spirit.

I think that turning 40 changed a lot of things for me. I wanted to live my life and do so to the fullest. For me, the fullest meant doing what I wanted to do and spending time with my family. Sometimes goals fit into that, often, they don't.
