Milestone #4: Turning Down the Volume 🎚️

Dear Ones —
This past month I put the ultimate constraints on my time: travel. The kind of travel that takes you outside your usual orbit, eight timezones away, kids in tow, sights to see and things to do. And this weird thing happened where it felt like my brain had gone totally offline from work matters. This is a good thing, of course, but being a business owner and entrepreneur, there are times I just need to pop onto the laptop and tackle the essential items. But, let me tell you, it felt like I was trying to do the most simple of tasks with my eyes closed, typing as though my hands were crossed over on my keyboard. Workflows felt painfully slow and discombobulated. So, not only had my mind snapped out of it, I couldn’t snap it back in for the moments I needed to get things done.
And did I need to? Sure. There are times when you just need to show up for your team and do your part. But considering how hard it was to get anything done, I lowered my expectations for myself even lower…
