Dear Ones β
The month of March marched in with the most tremendous amount of snow that caused equal parts havoc and entertainment here in the Rocky Mountains. As I write this I am sitting at my kitchen table, looking out on the snow-laden trees. Late last week, the snowfall and road conditions threw a wrench in some plans as the weather advisories cautioned people against any non-essential travel. It was a quick lesson in pivoting and making the most of things. Then, my family got into this idea of building a massive luge track down the hill that goes beside our house and down into the forest below. On Sunday, I made the most of the heaps of snow, first with a full day of skiing at Norquay with my eldest, followed by several hours in the evening lighting the luge track with Christmas lights and inviting neighbourhood kids to join in on the fun.
At one point, Paul and I were the only βkidsβ out playing in the snow. I hoped my neighbours were playing in it somewhere because you donβt getβ¦
